DIY Traveling Gift Bag
Every summer we travel to B.C. We average driving for 16 hours not including ferry time to get to Vancouver Island. To say we need some entertainment on this car ride is an understatement haha every year I am always thinking up ideas for our daughters for the drive that don’t only include screen time.
Growing up my family travelled to B.C for summer holidays and my mom always packed ya a fun Travel Bag. It was more like a goodie bag but for the road, and it was the highlight of our trips! We loved the morning of our car ride, and anticipated it like Christmas or Easter morning because of those Travel bags.
I love carrying this tradition on with my own girls and enjoy the creative process every year, but this year I wanted to challenge myself to think of some ideas that didn’t include junky cheap toys that get lost and scattered throughout the car ride ( those dreaded hatchimals and lol dolls). The girls are finally getting old enough to enjoy journaling so I went with a scrapbooking theme this year!
Below I’ve listed all the items I purchased for their travel bags. I didn’t go to crazy but you could definitely get creative with this idea. It also would make excellent gift options for girls starting around the age of 7 or 8 and up!
