Best things to buy at Ikea 2022
I love shopping at Ikea. Unfortunately the closest Ikea to us us 4 hours away, so we don’t get there too often! I used to think shipping from Ikea was crazy expensive, but I recently found out you can order smaller items and ship them for a flat fee of around $25.
We were really in need of some kitchen storage and organization products. We live in a small house with a small kitchen and our only cabinet that stores pots and pans is a corner cabinet.
Corner cabinets are THE WORST! It feels like this huge cabinet but you really can’t keep much in the back unless you hardly ever use it. I recently cleared some space in ours for our pots and pans and because of the odd shape I really needed a lid holder.
I picked up a lid holder, some low profile pillows ( I wasn’t a huge fan of them in the end, I needed something firmer), some pickling jars, scissors, storage baskets, measuring cups, tongs, pitchers and a cute little plant.
I loved everything except for the pillows and thought I would share all the items we grabbed if you, like me, are often wondering what are some of the best things to buy at Ikea!

My favourites from Ikea
My favourite items I bought were my glass measuring cups. I have bought these a couple times now, and although they do break sometimes and the numbers eventually wear, I still love them. They are really affordable and we just prefer the shape of these measuring cups compared to other more bulky cups we have had in the past.
I also really loved the lid organizer. Super helpful for that corner cupboard. As well as these neat little food storage lids! They were a suggested item when I was putting other things in my cart and I was intrigued. They can be used to seal any bowl thats the same size or smaller, great for when there’s left over food in our regular meal bowls and I don’t want to bother with saran wrapping. They also work well as a cover for your microwave, which we are always in need of!
I loved the Ikea 365 pitcher line and ended up grabbing one larger pitcher and two tall skinny ones.I thought these would be nice for summer beverages like ice tea, and storing iced coffee and juice in the fridge.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the little set of scissors I picked up. We recently had bought some cheap scissors of Amazon and they were horrible. Way to weak to cut through almost anything, I was super disappointed. I was worried because these are also inexpensive that the quality wouldn’t be great but they are amazing. I loved how sturdy they are and the sizes they come in.
