Cozy Cottage Bathroom Renovation

When we bought my Grandparents house they built in 1997, I knew I wanted to transform the 90’s interior into a cozy cottage inspired space.
This bathroom was the bathroom my Grandpa used, and one of its quirks was it only had a tub instead of a tub/shower combo. Along with only having a tub, the entire bathroom was in need of some updating cosmetically so we got to work sourcing products that would bring in that cottage vibe while still fitting our tight budget.

I knew I wanted to mix some traditional elements together with some more modern pieces to give this space character and charm. I love shopping on Wayfair Canada, and it’s my one stop shop when doing a room makeover or a full blown renovation.
I found this beautiful traditional walnut coloured vanity. I loved the traditional lines, and it comes with a countertop and sink! Win win for our budget. I paired it with a modern brass style faucet, and a brass pill mirror for that mix of traditional and modern cottage feel.
We also added in a new arched in bath tub, beautiful industrial style shower faucet, and most importantly a new modern toilet to complete the look!
