Organizing our Spice Cabinet

Organizing our spice cabinet is something I have wanted to do for a long time but it was just one of those projects that always kept getting moved to the back burner.

I love the look of a spice cabinet thats been organized with mason jars. There is something. comforting and aesthetically appealing when everything is stored in mason jars, it all. matches and makes me want to get in the kitchen and cook!

My mom had a bunch of 4 oz mason. jars in her basement that she let me have and so I finally got to work removing all my spices from their packaging that they came in, mostly bags. and some glass jars, to the 4 oz mason jars so I had a cohesive look.

I was shocked how much room I had in my cabinets once I took everything out of their bags and put them in the jars. I guess I thought because I was going from mostly skinny bags to little round jars I might lose room, but the beauty of these little jars is they are stackable, so I ended up with way more room in my cabinet!

I was planning on purchasing a label maker, but then I remembered a video I watch from one of my favourite bloggers, Farm House on Boone, where Lisa used a white sharpie paint pen.

I didn’t have a sharpie paint pen but Jade did have another paint pen he brought home from work, and I love the pop of white that it brings to the cabinet AND the saved money from not needing to invest in a label maker … although I am sure one day I will hah.

Now that my cabinet is organized and looking so cute, I am inspired even more to get into the kitchen and cook!

Today is supposed to be ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž and Iโ€™ve go Today is supposed to be ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž and Iโ€™ve got my favourite iced coffee ready! I use the Costco Starbucks iced coffee, 2 pumps of homemade coconut syrup and a good splash of cream.
Homemade coconut syrup recipe:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 tsp artificial coconut extract (I buy mine one Amazon)
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the sugar has dissolved remove from heat and let cool. Thatโ€™s it! I store mine in an old glass torani syrup bottle and then I am able to just pump it in my coffee like a real life barista โญ๏ธ
Whatโ€™s your favourite way to drink iced coffee?!?
