One of my most frequently asked questions is where we got our living room shelf decor! So I thought I would compile all our items ( or similar) here in one post.
The most important thing is to start with a floating shelf if you are wanting to replicate this look. It brings a little bit of a modern vibe to the otherwise eclectic and boho decor and is what really makes this decor pop./ We purchased ours from Ikea, the floating lack shelf in white, but I have linked some floating shelves that come in multiple sizes that have good reviews and are easy to ship if you aren’t near an Ikea.
The next important thing is texture. The decor on these shelves in fairly neutral but is full of texture. I bring texture in in my plant containers, with wooden decor beads, and brass elements in picture frames and candle holders.
I also always recommend something “living and green” on your shelf, I have real and faux plants here. I have had lots of people ask how I keep my faux plants alive? I just water them once a week on Wednesdays ( pick a day and it helps you remember) except succulents, those hardly need to be watered at all. Its important to give yourself room to learn and if you kill a plant don’t be to hard on yourself, we have all been there ( I still kill lots as I learn what they need). I swear by snake plants, those are the tall one on the left, because you almost can’t kill them. I have even used them in bathrooms with no natural light and they live! I purchased ours from Ikea but always check your local greenhouses and Home Depot never fails me, they have the BEST indoor plant selection for cheap.
