Learn how to make an inexpensive gold side table with this DIY Ikea Hack.

Hey you guys. Today I have a fun flash back post from a couple years ago when we still lived in our old home. We were on the hunt for inexpensive side tables for our living room. I ended up creating this easy Ikea hack to get high end side tables without the high end price tag.
I wasn’t able to find anything that fit within our budget at the time so I decided a DIY was in order. We ended up making these side tables out of some Ikea tables that have long since been discontinued, BUT I have GREAT NEWS! Ikea has come out with another side table that would work just as well for this DIY, and it is super affordable!
For this easy DIY Ikea Hack you will need:
Can of Rustoleum gold spray paint
Marble Contact paper or white contact paper
How do you make an easy DIY end table?
- First assemble the Nesna table according to the instructions provided by Ikea. Leave out the five cross slats that form the lower shelf (you won’t need them).
- Next Set aside the glass for the top and give your table two coats of gold spray paint, letting them dry thoroughly in-between coats.
- Lastly take your glass top that was included with the Nesna nightstand and add either the marble contact paper or white contact paper.
- Alternatively you could leave it as it is and have a beautiful gold Nesna side table with glass instead of a white top.
And thats it!
Sometimes the simplest Ikea Hacks are the best ones. I love how versatile this DIY is. I would love to see this end table in rose gold, or matte black! You could also use a beautiful wallpaper in a fun print instead of the contact paper.
