Tips for decorating with neutral colors
1. Use lots of different neutral colors

When it comes to decorating with neutral colors in your home more neutral colors is often best!
If you stick with only one or two neutral shades your room will end up look boring and flat.
Neutrals are called neutral because they go with everything. That means you can put all the neutrals together and they will also work together!
I love to include shades of cream, grey, tan, cognac, charcoal and brown in our home. The more the merrier when it comes to shades of neutral I say.
#2 Texture texture texture

Wether decorating with neutral or color the key to a dynamic and beautiful interior is texture. You can incorporate texture into your space in so many ways.
A few of my favourite ways to add in lots of texture to a room is through wood elements, pillows, rugs, window treatments and even in my decor!
I love to mix in lots of different texture to my spaces by using mixed materials when it comes to side tables, coffee tables etc. I love to use a concrete coffee table with wood arm side chairs and a big fluffy sectional.
Its always important to remind yourself everything does not have to match. It can be tempting when decorating your space to stick with only one kind of material, but its super important to mix especially when decorating with neutrals.
Mixing your materials and using lots of textures helps your space look alive and not flat and boring.
#4 Layers

Lastly when it comes to decorating with neutral colors I always add in lots of layering to my rooms.
This can be done through mixing and matching your throw pillows in neutral colors and textures. Adding in a cozy throw blanket in an other neutral.
I also love to install floating shelves and layer lots of neutral decor. I use texture on my shelves and different shades of neutrals as well as metallic items which I also consider neutral colors.
I also love to use mini risers for adding height and depth to a shelf or coffee table. This adds one more dynamic element to your design and no one can ever say your neutral home is boring!
