Fall porch decor
Fall porch decor. I did a mini makeover on our back porch and decorated it for fall yesterday!

I have been wanting to paint our back door for forever, and finally worked up the energy to do it.
The thing is, it really doesn’t take a lot to paint a door. Its one of the easiest projects and makes such a huge difference. Why do we put off those projects that later we think, that wasn’t so bad, for so long!
Exterior Door Green Paint
To paint our exterior door, I used interior/exterior emerald paint by Sherwin Williams in satin.
The color I used is called dried thyme. To paint the doors I used a brush for the entire door, except right around the hardware. To paint around the hardware I use a small craft brush.
Using a small craft brush makes edging super easy, and that way you don’t have to take your hardware off to paint.

Fall Porch Decor
To add some fall decor to our porch, I loaded a basket with some real branches from our yard, as well as some faux brown branches from michaels.
I added in some little faux pumpkins, all from Michaels, and layered them on our Mini Display Stool in aged oak that we sell in our shop Revival Goods.

To get that beautiful sweeping vine over our door, I layered in our real virginia creeper vine. We have two nails at the top of our door and I hung a larger piece of vine over the two nails.
Next layer in more vine ( real or faux, whatever you have) by twisting floral wire around varying lengths and thicknesses, allowing it to drop over to one side for that asymmetrical look.
And thats it!
