Fool Proof Method for Shelf Styling
Two years ago I wrote a blog post with my method for styling shelves and it’s still one of our most popular blog posts today! This time around since its fall I thought I would share some inspiration for using my method but with fall decor!
You can find the original blog post here THE SECRET TO STYLING SHELVES AND BOOKCASES : AN EASY TRICK!
For todays post I thought it would be fun to share three looks starting with a very minimalist fall approach and working our way up to a maximalist autumn look for fall!

Minimalist fall decor
For this more minimal fall look I stuck with our year round shelf decor, a vertical print and a square print, and only swapped out a couple items.
I added in some vintage books, because vintage books scream fall to me, but in a more subtle way, ya know!
I also added in a little vase with some fall flowers I quickly snipped from our back deck, mum celiosia and some faux foliage I picked up at Michaels a couple weeks ago.
Quick and simple I love the subtle nod to fall without being too over the top.

In the Middle Fall Shelf Decor Inspiration

for this middle fall autumnal look I decided to warm everything up a bit by adding in some warm wood tones in the picture frame, rattan plant pot and rustic riser.
I made sure to add this wooden element to three spots on the shelves but left the top right without to give your eyes a break.
Lastly I added in a larger grey vase with a full handful of faux fall foliage I grabbed at Michaels a couple years ago. I balanced it by adding some faux fall flowers in a smaller jar on the opposite corner.
A little more fall then the minimalist look but just a smidge!

Maximalist Fall Home Decor Look
I myself have always been a bit of a maximalist when it comes to home decor. I just can’t help myself. I love the cozy atmosphere it produces and plus I just really love styling our house and playing around with seasonal decor!
For this full on fall look I swapped out the fall branches for a full fall bouquet I picked at a local you pick flower farm last week.
It’s not truly fall without some pumpkins, and these little guys have been with me for years. I love faux pumpkins because around here we don’t get a lot of unique coloured pumpkins. Not to mention how quickly they good bad!
I added in more wooden elements and another wooden riser from our shop Revival Goods. More vintage books and plants to round it all out and ta da, its fall y’all!
