I’ve had a bunch of requests over this past year to pull together an Amazon Canada Home Decor blog post, featuring some of my favourite finds from Amazon Canada.
Today I finally pulled together a list of some of my favourite neutral home decor finds from Amazon Canada. I will also teach you my tricks for shopping on Amazon and how to search for beautiful home decor and not end up with only tacky decor showing up in the search engine.

How to shop for home decor on Amazon.ca
Amazon can be super overwhelming to search for cute home decor. It seems everybody else is finding cute, and modern decor while only cheap looking junk shows up in your search engine. Trust me I have been there. The thing with shopping on Amazon is you need to be more specific with what keywords you use.
Keywords are the words you use in the search bar on Amazon. If you type in pillows, you are most likely not going to find any cute, modern boho pillows. However if you type in boho pillow, the search engine will start to show you items that more closely match what you are looking for.
Another thing I like to do is search retailers or brands on Amazon instead of home decor items. I have a couple brands that never fail when it comes to cute trendy decor. Some of my favourite brands to look at on Amazon are
- Creative co-op
- Stone and Beam (modern decor, plant pots, pillows etc)
- Safavieh (great for rugs)
- Loloi (also great for rugs)
- Rivet (modern furniture thats affordable)
Rivet and Stone and Beam are both Amazon brands so they tend to be more affordable than the others. Loloi rugs is one of my favourite companies that make affordable rugs, and we have two in our house that we love.
Always check for a better deal prior to purchasing
Something I always always do though when shopping on Amazon is highlight the product title and search for it on Google. Most people assume Amazon will be the cheapest place to purchase any item, however OFTEN it is actually over priced and can be found through a quick search on another retailers website for less.
This isn’t always the case, and items found through Amazon brands can obviously only be purchased on Amazon but it has happened to me a time or two so I wanted to make sure to mention it as a good thing to do prior to purchasing.
Always apply coupons!
Before we get to my favourite finds from Amazon, I also wanted to mention applying coupons on Amazon. Many people do not know that for a lot of items Amazon has the option to apply a coupon for a discount but if you don’t click the coupon box you will not receive the discount so make sure to check on each item if it has one available prior to checking out.
The coupon box will be located under the price of the item with an orange little flag to the left of it. So for the photo below, the Robit vacuum has a $130 off coupon but you have to check the little box to apply.

Return Policy
The best part about shopping on Amazon is they have a great return policy and of course items usually ship quickly. This can vary through from brand to brand so make sure you double check all the details about returns and shipping at checkout for each item.
Reviews on Amazon
I also always read the reviews for items on Amazon prior to purchasing. My one tip is to make sure to read as many reviews as possible. As a shop owner myself I know every once in a while you might get some crazy, grouchy person who leaves na terrible review but it wasn’t actually based on the product being good or bad but usually has something to do with the customer not reading the details, checking the measurements or understanding how something works properly prior to ordering.
With all this being said, if a product has a couple negative reviews make sure you weigh those against positive reviews and don’t feel to nervous about purchasing on Amazon. Though there was a time when it seemed really sketchy to shop for anything other than books on Amazon, its a highly trusted retail website and I have never ever had any problems purchasing from them or returning something if necessary.
